How does EMG eMASS® really work?

With nearly 70 installations worldwide, EMG eMASS® has become the quasi-standard for electromagnetic strip stabilization. This makes it all the more sensible to recall the basics of system functionality, especially in view of the recently available system version with horizontally movable actuators. To make this easy and efficient for those interested parties and customers who follow the EMG developments either via the newsletter or via social media, we have summarized the essential elements of the eMASS® function in an approximately 8-minute video on our YouTube channel.

The basic idea and the basic architecture of the system are briefly recapitulated in the video. Then the function of the system is shown in a test stand at the EMG factory and with the help of a functional demonstrator, which could be seen at this year's METEC trade fair. The latter demonstrates the functionality and potential of the individually movable magnetic actuators in a very instructive way. Finally, the arguments that the user can use to make a decision in favour of the EMG eMASS® technology are summarized.

We hope that we have summarized the essential questions regarding the functionality of today's system generation of EMG eMASS® in an understandable way for you and look forward to your feedback.

And now? Directly to the video...
