Quality needs qualification

This is why we at EMG have been attaching great importance to the training of our employees for more than 70 years now.

To date, more than 1300 young people have successfully completed their apprenticeship at EMG, in addition to the apprentices from surrounding companies.

And this figure is set to rise!

Dual Training "made in Germany"

In general, EMG offers training in a dual system. Practical training in the company and theoretical training in a vocational college intertwine and complement each other. Our apprentices are supported by experienced tutors, qualified specialists and vocational teachers within the framework of supplementary tuition. The training period usually takes between 3 and 3.5 years and ends with a final examination in front of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. It is possible to reduce the training period subject to performance.

Training schedule

As an apprentice, you will become a fully-fledged part of the company and play an active role from the very first day. The training conducted by EMG is divided into chronological and factually structured plans, meaning that during your training period you will be employed in several departments and get an insight into numerous sectors.

A good apprenticeship here also includes

Responsibility for our region

EMG supports companies in the region who do not have the opportunity to undertake complete training in their own company. That is why every year in September, in addition to the EMG trainees, a number of other trainees from the region start their apprenticeship at EMG to complete their basic training in the in-house EMG training workshop. In addition, EMG also offers specialist courses and preparatory courses for trainees from other companies. The "external" apprentices are supervised by the specialist trainers.

To date, EMG has gained the trust of more than 40 companies from the region.

Digital training

Digitalisation is rapidly changing the working world. Company-based training must also be adapted to this change. EMG Automation GmbH is taking a step in this direction by equipping all trainees in their first year of training with iPads.

In addition to personal responsibility and creativity, EMG also wants to promote the IT and media skills of its trainees. "It is particularly important to us that the trainees learn how valuable the use of digital media is in their professional lives and that, in addition to Snapchat and Instagram, there are a large number of valuable apps that can be used very well during their training," says Lena Rawe, head of training.

In addition to the use of a variety of learning apps, trainees can also create their report booklet in digital form on their own iPads.
