现代的缝合机和焊接机的上游和下游分别安装了全自动对中装置。传统的机械式边部对中装置总是带来损坏带钢边部的风险。而EMG节省空间的方案,在用于协调带钢前一卷尾部和后一卷头部时,通常被证明是合适的方法,特别适用于系统改造。

示意图显示了EMG解决方案为整条工作线节省了大量空间。这是非常成功的应用,特别在安装改造方面。置于焊接或缝合机前的光学传感系统BREIMO[1]测量已通过的板带和新板带的宽度。此外,通过EVK来确定新板带头部的位置[2.1],并考虑BREIMO值来确定新板带的角度位置。

已通过的板带与板带轴和新板带的角度位置有关,是通过一个对中框架[5]来完成的,该对中框架采用一个或两个夹杆(如果是较厚的板带)夹起和对中板带。通过的板带位置和角度位置采用EVK [2.2]和[2.3]进行测量。

该系统还可以设计成将新板带的带头与通过的板带的带尾衔接入列。
