The year 2011 is drawing to a close. It is time to review the past year and to venture an outlook on the year ahead. True to the above quote, we do not want to wait to see what the coming year will bring us, but rather we will work together with you to develop innovative concepts and to realize ambitious solutions.

2011 was a busy and successful year for EMG. Among others, we were present at AISTech 2011 in Indianapolis, USA, and at METEC in Düsseldorf; we were represented by our subsidiary at Exposibram 2011 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil; and we also participated as a sponsor at the 103rd Galvanizers Association Conference in Alabama, USA. All the fairs and conferences were quite successful for us, and some of them have already resulted in very specific inquiries and projects.

We looked to make exchanges with our customers with the Quality Alliance at three Quality Days in Taiwan, Korea and Turkey. Through the active support of our partners as well, we have been successful at gaining new customers for our products.

The SORM 3plus system celebrated a great success with its installation at Tata Steel IJmuiden in the Netherlands. SMS Siemag also upgraded its annealing line in one of the largest steelworks in China with a double-sided EMG SORM 3plus.

But in 2011 it has not just been products like the EMG servo valve that we have improved; we have also further expanded our customer service. Our service and spare part request on the Internet significantly reduces the time for inquiries; online incoming requests can be processed almost immediately.

We hereby thank you for the successful cooperation in 2011. We wish you and your families a peaceful and relaxing Christmas season and a happy start to the New Year in 2012.
