Additional optical roughness measuring system for China

In addition to Maanshan Iron & Steel and Wuhan Iron & Steel, another leading manufacturer of high-quality steel products from China, Anshan Steel, will from now on rely on the SORM 3plus system from EMG.
In August 2006 a double-sided roughness measuring system was ordered by Anshan Steel. The system shall be used on a newly-installed continuous annealing line for steel strip widths ranging from 1000 to 1980 mm. With the SORM 3plus system Anshan Steel is able to optimise the production process and to ensure that its end users will get fully tested steel strips as per the requested roughness tolerances. This will apply to Shanghai Volkswagen as well. For the first time this company has now placed an order with the steel company Anshan Steel for the delivery of automotive sheets.
