Area of operation

Industrial managers are qualified for planning, processing and controlling of operations based on their apprenticeships. They secure the business market, advertise products, buy resources and machines or sell produced goods and services.
Depending on the operational area, they negotiate with suppliers in order to get needed materials cost-effectively and on time, sell products due to their negotiating skills with the customers, solve business problems, record and process procedures with the help of data-processing supported office technology.
Duration of apprenticeship: 3 years

Contents of apprenticeship

The contents of the apprenticeship are organized according to the tasks of the functional areas:

• Materials handling:
  purchasing, warehousing, inventory control
• Production management:
  production planning, production control
• Human resources:
  personnel management, payroll accounting, further education
• Distributive trades:
  marketing, distribution, consignment
• Finance and accounting/controlling:
  bookkeeping, cost and activity accounting, planning and controlling, reporting
