History

1946: EMG Automation GmbH was created on 22 June 1946 as a subsidiary of Nationale Automobilgesellschaft (NAG), a wholly owned subsidiary of AEG. At Wendenerhütte, where iron smelting had been at home during the industrial revolution, EMG moved into an abandoned factory on 1 July 1946. From humble beginnings it developed into a company in demand worldwide for electronic, electromechanical and electrohydraulic equipment for magnetic clutches and for servo hydraulic controls.
