High-precision strip centre guiding system in front of side trimmers and mills

For the high-precision measurement of the strip position on metal strips with an accuracy of ± 1 mm - e.g. on strip centre guiding systems in front of the side trimmers, mills, etc. – the inductive BMIH centre guide sensing frame proves to be worthwhile. The precise measuring equipment will be supplied as a compact ready-to-assemble measuring frame made of anodized aluminium sections with a separate evaluation electronics.

Even with non-magnetic materials such as aluminium, copper, brass and austenitic chrome nickel steels (e.g. 1.4301) the strip position is reliably detected with the inductive process.

Depending on the selected centre sensors, strip width variations of 200, 550, 950 or 1550 mm from centre position are detected.
